Psyche was a mortal women with 2 other sisters but she was the most beautiful of the 3! So beautiful that other mortals practically worshipped her! Which invoked the wrath of Aphrodite – goddess of beauty. She sent her son Eros to go curse Psyche to fall in love with the ugliest creature. In some stories Eros falls in love with her / in others he accidentally hits himself with his own arrow and falls in love with her anyway. Afraid of the wrath of Aphrodite, he took Psyche away and hid her so they could be together. The only catch is that Psyche wasn’t allowed to know his true identity so he only visited in the night where she couldn’t see him. Psyche truly loved him but was afraid that she didn’t truthfully know who he was. One day her sisters visited her and convinced her that he must be a monster or an evil wizard – they gave her a dagger to use upon him in the night while he slept. Psyche approached him with a oil lamp so he could see what he truly looked like, to which she discovered he was a god! This made her jump and knock over her lamp which awoke Eros. He saw her with the dagger and ran away proclaiming “Love cannot dwell with suspicion!”

The Greek Mythology collection is one I’ve had in my brain for almost a year now and I am so excited to have it available now!

Some background on these acrylic material pieces, all shapes/illustrations are designed by me either on my iPad or on Adobe Illustrator. They are cut out with a laser cutter and then need to have their backings peeled off front and back before they are assembled.

Despite being a type of plastic, they are still very durable and lightweight. All the earrings posts are nickel free and hypoallergenic. To attach my earring posts, I use resin, if you have any known allergies, feel free to reach out to me via email and I can use another method for you.
